Callan Moore is a multi-disciplinary dance artist, choreographer, educator and creative director with roots in contemporary, jazz and modern dance. Prior to attaining her BFA in dance from Cornish College of the Arts, she trained with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel where she began to hone her teaching philosophy and heart for unique, exploratory movement. She later trained with the Los Angeles-based Geometry Dance Company under the direction of Mackenzie Martin. Whether providing creative direction for independent musicians through music video choreography or creating movement for children, Callan leads from a place of holistic creativity and somatic practice. She believes that dance is a medium for embodiment and one that should express itself in spontaneity and playfulness, for all. Having performed at the Can Can Cabaret, in A Night in Paris and with Coalescence Dance Company, Callan continues to perform as an artist while investing her time in growing Westlake’s mission to create community in dance.
