Jazz classes explore traditional, Broadway, funky or contemporary styles in a fun, energetic atmosphere. Class begins with a warm-up which focuses on technique, coordination, and flexibility. Warm-up is followed by either progressions across the floor or straight to a combination which chains movement in a longer sequence. Jazz usus full body movements that incorporate turns and leaps.
Everyone is welcome
Megan began her dance career in musical theatre at the age of 5. As a youth she toured in regional shows as well as appeared in multiple TV shows and videos (The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and many after-school specials). As an adult, Megan turned her focus to teaching dance and choreographing. She has choreographed many local musicals and special events (Village Theatre, Detlef Schrempf Foundation Gala, local middle schools…). She has also choreographed for KOMO TV, the SeaGals and the Stealth Bombsquad. Megan studied dance at U.W., Cornish and Westlake Dance Center. Megan is A.C.E. certified and now teaches group fitness dance in clubs across King County (The Seattle Gym, Pro Club and Community Fitness). Megan also enjoys working one-on-one with dance students to help them reach their dance and fitness goals.
Although Megan still performs in local dance shows and appears on TV once-in-a-while, her main focus is dance instruction and dance fitness. She loves incorporating the form and artistry of dance into the full bodied work out of group fitness. She likes teaching classes that eliminate the need to run or lift weights after – so all of her classes have cardio and weight resistance. She is dedicated to making dance accessible and fun for everyone no matter their age or dance background.
