Lyrical

Lyrical/Contemporary is a style of jazz that concentrates on technical fluidity and personal display of emotions and feelings. Dancers are given the opportunity to explore the lyrics and incorporate them into movement thus expressing their own individuality. Class begins with a warm-up which focuses on technique, coordination, and flexibility. Warm-up is followed by either progressions across the floor or straight to a combination which chains movement in a longer sequence.
