Ballet is a technical form of dance with its own vocabulary based on French terminology and follows specific rules about the positions of the arms, feet, and body. A typical ballet class will start with barre exercises like pliés, tendus, and rond de jambes and ends with center and across the floor work to incorporate barre exercises into longer sequences.
